Figures released last year suggest very few beneficiaries are taking drugs. Of about 8000 beneficiaries sent for job drug tests, only 22 tested positive or refused to take the tests.

The numbers appear to contradict the Prime Minister, who earlier today told Leighton Smith drug dependency is a major contributor to New Zealand poverty.

John Key said a range of factors contribute to poverty, but he said every employer who tests people for drugs will have had prospective employees who failed the test.

During the run-up to the 2013 election Edward Snowden alleged that New Zealand had asked the US National Security Agency to use its PRISM technology to spy on New Zealanders on the government’s behalf. Prime Minister (and then GCSB Minister) John Key had strongly denied doing so:

New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters in this speech stated that the use of the Peoples Public Credit is a good thing if done correctly for the right reasons.

It makes clear that Winston Peters has at least a reasonable understanding of the most important issue of all, the money system funding structure issue.

At the New Zealand First 2015 Party Conference Winston Peters lambasted National in his speech for its neo liberal economic policies, its “corporate” friends and above all, for its Reserve Bank policies which he argues partly lie behind what he sees as a forthcoming rural debt crisis.

At the same time NZ First MPs are critical of Labour for its divisiveness and its political correctness.

What does seem likely though, is that NZ First would require action on the Reserve Bank in any deal to support a Government.

This is a policy from this government that I can actually support. This is a first for me in 9 years. I would suggest that John Key and his gang of criminal thugs in parliament eliminate themselves to begin with. Then we need to eliminate the psychopaths in industry and corporations. Prime Minister John Key has today announced the Government has adopted the goal of New Zealand becoming Predator Free by 2050.

“While once the greatest threat to our native wildlife was poaching and deforestation it is now introduced predators,” Mr Key says.

Figures released by Treasury prove the economic viability of The Cannabis Party's policy, while destroying the credibility of police claims about cannabis harms.

The Treasury memo, released to lawyer Sue Grey under the OIA, shows that legalisation of cannabis would save the taxpayer $400m and would earn $150m in taxes annually. A total revenue of $550m.

The memo undermines the credibility of the police's drug harm index, which tries to justify prohibition by focusing on cannabis related harm to society.

However, these Treasury figures prove that law enforcement is actually responsible for the vast bulk of this harm to society.

For, the first time a government department has admitted that legalisation of cannabis will actually save the public hundreds of millions of dollars each year.

The Cannabis Party leader Julian Crawford said the treasury figures agree with his party's own estimates and prove that legalisation will add around $550m to the public purse each year.
