A Dutch Member of Parliament has formally petitioned Prime Minister Jan-Peter Balkenende and his European Affairs Minister Frans Timmermans concerning their involvement with the Bilderberg Group, citing an article released by Prison Planet last week.

“In his web log on May 13, Member of Parliament of the Socialist Party, Harry van Bommel, refers to, and footnotes, (Paul Joseph) Watson’s article on information confided to Bilderberg researcher Daniel Estulin concerning the agenda of the secretive meeting,” writes Jurriaan Maessen.

Shares of Swiss drug-maker Roche Holding had fallen sharply after their latest cancer drug failure—but the GSFS came just in time to give their falling stocks a boost—just as the great bird flu scare of 2006 did.

In November 2005, George W. Bush goaded Congress to pass $7.1 billion in “emergency funding” to prepare for the possible bird flu pandemic, of which $1 billion was solely dedicated to the purchase and distribution of Tamiflu.

“Domestic Extremism Lexicon” memo says “patriot movement” primarily comprises of “violent” groups

A new Homeland Security document that received little attention during last week’s swine flu coverage shockingly lists the “alternative media” with other radical extremist groups and implies that people who disagree with the mass media’s version of events are potential domestic terrorists.

The “official use only” document is entitled “Domestic Extremism Lexicon” and was released on March 26, two weeks before the infamous “right-wing extremists” report that generated so much media attention throughout April.

A new report from the liberal media watchdog Media Matters exposes the widespread violent rhetoric being spewed by conservative talk show hosts, bloggers and TV personalities on Fox News Channel. In one case, Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann told Fox's Sean Hannity that "[w]e are at the point, Sean, of revolution."

If Jon Stewart walked out of his studio with his camera crew, went to where establishment figures were speaking, and threw tough questions at them, you’d get something like We Are Change.

The We Are Change reporters have asked the tough questions - a la Stewart (well, minus the comedy) - to former presidents, secretaries of defense, leading Neocons and Iraq war architects, and many other establishment figures.

So their interviews are syndicated nationally and they’ve all received Pulitzer prizes, right?

Not exactly . . .

NSA whistleblower Russell Tice refuses to appear on the ridiculous O'Reilly Factor, and is ambushed by a know-nothing hack. Bill O'Reilly says he wanted to "interview" Tice but he declined. And goodness, we just can't imagine why. So Fox sent attack-dog producer Jesse Waters and one of those crack Fox ambush crews to ambush Tice outside of his home.

WASHINGTON -- February 5, 2009: Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) told nationally syndicated talk host Bill Press this morning that the recent flips of liberal Talk stations in several markets were a "disservice to the public."

Stabenow said that, in the day of the Fairness Doctrine, "you had to have balance," and continued, "I think something that requires that in a market with owners that have multiple stations that they have got to have balance -- there has to be some community interest -- balance, you know, standard that says both sides have to be heard."

The function of the "mainstream media" is to sell products and to brainwash the audience for the government and interest groups. By subscribing to it, Americans support their own brainwashing.

The American print and TV media have never been very good. These days they are horrible. If people intend to be informed, they must turn to foreign news broadcasts, to Internet sites, to foreign newspapers available on the Internet, or to alternative newspapers that are springing up in various cities. A person who sits in front of Murdoch’s Fox “News” or CNN or who reads the New York Times is simply being brainwashed with propaganda.
