US Teenagers are Killed More by Prescription Meds than Prohibited Drugs: Study

A revealing new study published in the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, has shown that the number of deaths suffered annually by American teenagers at the hands of illegal drugs is far, far less than those suffered from prescription medication.

As reported by the media site, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), pharmaceutical abuse was the cause of some 23,000 deaths in 2013, or more than half the overdose deaths in the United States that same year.
