VIA REDDIT: Update from someone who lives on the strip in Vegas

You still can’t drive past Mandalay Bay or even get close.

The casinos are now checking bags & some have metal detectors etc.

Every single person I have talked to 100% thinks there was more than one shooter.

When it happened I was across the street not directly in the concert area but a guy running for his life came up to us saying his friend got shot in the face and that there were at least three shooters and they were snipers. He specifically told us that there were two on the roof and and maybe on the ground. (I understand he was in shock and maybe could have made some of this up or thought he saw more than he did but still something to consider)

Trump is here today

Chaos is about to unleash

I'm depressed at how few saw what is coming and did so little to remedy the disease that has set in to this world.

2015: Mysterious white guys with loads of guns is a thing

The body went unnoticed for two weeks in the summer heat, decomposing inside a sport utility vehicle parked in the affluent neighborhood of Pacific Palisades.

Once Los Angeles police were called, they traced the dead man inside the vehicle to a town house down the street. There, investigators found roughly two tons of ammunition and more than 1,200 high-end pistols, shotguns and rifles.

The cache of firearms and ammunition was so large that it took police days to remove several truckloads from the canyon home.

On Tuesday, police were trying to piece together how the dead man ended up inside the abandoned vehicle and determine why he had so many weapons. The coroner’s office had yet to formally identify him as of Tuesday, though law enforcement sources said detectives have a good idea of his name.

Fluoride Exposure Correlated To Lower IQ

Researchers in Toronto, Canada have published a peer-reviewed study in Environmental Health Perspectives which finds that increased exposure to fluoride in utero is associated with lower IQ in children.

In a study spanning more than a decade, the researchers analyzed 1,576 samples from nearly 300 sets of mothers and children in Mexico where fluoride is not added to public water supplies, and is instead absorbed through naturally occurring concentrations in public water and fluoridated products. The IQ of children included in the study was tested twice up to the age of 12, which revealed a decrease in IQ scores for every .5 milligram-per-liter increase in fluoride exposure beyond 0.8 milligrams per liter of a pregnant mother's urine.

Man commits self immolation outside New Zealand parliament

Some poor dude decided his only course of action in life at this point was to set fire to himself outside parliament today. He is in a critical condition at Wellington hospital.

Perhaps New Zealand needs to think about properly funding a mental health system again. Or maybe $20 a week extra in tax cuts is more preferable. I don't know, our society is so fucking selfish and uncaring these days maybe we should just get used to seeing stuff like this happening moving forward.

Texas Issues First Medical Marijuana License To Help Treat Epilepsy

Texas has issued its first medical marijuana license to help treat epilepsy. Two more companies are expected to be awarded licenses soon.

Licenses are being issued under the Texas Compassionate Use Act, signed into law in 2015, by Gov. Greg Abbott. The companies were selected from more than 40 applicants in May, and have undergone a series of facility inspections. The companies face strict state regulations concerning customer base numbers and product formulation.
